Tuesday Night Prayer for America – 10.15.2024

The practice of deceitfulness and intentionally lying is specifically named by God as a sin. The Bible says, “The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in people who are trustworthy.” (Proverbs 12:22) On this same subject Moses wrote, “Do not give a false testimony…” (Exodus 20:16)

In the New Testament, Peter was led to write, “For the one who wants to love life
and to see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit, and he must turn away from evil and do what is good. He must seek peace and pursue it, because the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are open to their request. But the face of the Lord is against those who do what is evil.”
(1 Peter 3:10-12) If non-factual statements are knowingly being made or malicious lies are told by either side during this election – let’s pray that such behavior will be fully exposed. Let’s also request for God’s Holy Spirit to separate the facts from fiction and accurately reveal the truth in support of our nation’s integrity.
