Thanks for praying with us for the ministry in Puerto Rico. Hurricane Isaac moved South and the weather was great. This was greatly appreciated by all the churches!
Our team of five ministered to 210 pastors and about 1,800 of their church members – casting the vision for New Testament disciple-making in three areas of Puerto Rico. As a result of everyone’s prayers, the committee was led to plan for five area-wide Disciple-Making Workshops this November 10th-17th. This island-wide initiative is expected to equip their first 2,500 or more disciple-makers. Then, next spring, our team will return a third time to conduct their Discipleship Summit. They are renting San Juan’s attractive convention facility and planning for 7,500 to 10,000 for that exciting day. Their distant locations and small off lying islands will also participate using Facebook Live.
IEA has received several designated gifts to help the churches equip their members and the pastors have asked me to express their deep appreciation for this much needed assistance. Many church buildings are still being reconstructed from last year’s Hurricane Maria. Let’s focus in prayer over the next seven weeks as they prepare for November’s next ministry!
In The Great Commission,
Billie
