Over these next several weeks the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches and the Philippines for Jesus Movement request your daily prayers as they pre-register from 1,000 to 2,000 churches in greater Manila for next February’s Discipleship Summit. IEA will be their international partner for this equipping ministry. Bishop Ef Tendero, Randy Craig, and I will be teaching an estimated 10,000 church staff members and small group leaders at the beautiful CCF Worship Center.
Manila’s participating Lead Churches will then take an estimated 15 to 20 thousand of their most dedicated church members through 12 weeks of teaching and training using Becoming A Disciple-Maker’s equipping process. This will be repeated for two semesters, so our united prayer goal is to equip approximately 50,000 life-to-life disciple-makers. This training is being conducted in preparation for Will Graham’s eight night city-wide Celebration for Christ in 2019. In addition, several hundred new disciple-making churches will be planted across the nation by the end of 2020!
Will you please pray with us and ask others to join you in intercession during these important weeks of preparation in Manila? Thirty thousand Leaders Packets of 5 books are currently en route to Manila and the committees are making phone calls, sending emails, and personally visiting the pastors of the many evangelical churches across the city. Their pre-registration process will be completed by December 10th for Manila’s Disciple-Making Summit on February 3rd, 2018. As always, prayer will be the key to success, so we will keep you informed of specific needs and the ministry’s progress.
