COMMITMENT

…make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19)

• Becoming a Disciple-Maker

Out of love for God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, our church is prayerfully committed to completing the Great Commission. We will therefore help cast the ministry vision and equip our members to model the Lord’s example of spiritual multiplication through a sustained ministry of Biblical life-to-life disciple-making.

To initiate this ministry with our own members and other Great Commission minded churches, by faith, we agree to serve for seven years as a Model Church - offering two Disciple-Making Workshops annually after the first year. We pledge to fulfill this spiritual mission, unless providentially hindered for honorable reasons known to God.

When our future pastors and church staff members are interviewed, we will ensure that they understand our spiritual commitment and explain our church’s disciple-making process.

We will intentionally embrace the Lord Jesus’ relational equipping methodology by teaching its importance to groups, while each person is being trained by practicing Becoming A Disciple-Maker’s ministry skills. Our initial goal will be to enlist 20% or more of our church’s current active members above the age of 15 for participation during our first year’s two semesters of instruction.

We will secure our trainees’ contact information, and will provide disciple-making assignments for each newly trained disciple-maker, following their small group instruction.  We will also encourage their participation in prayerfully reading IEA’s daily online devotions. This same opportunity will be extended in English, Spanish, and future translations.

We will soon order our non-profit printed and/or digital equipping materials to start our first group classes.

We personally affirm and spiritually support this united decision:
