Christmas Faith – The Disciple-Making Lifestyle

“For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: ‘The righteous will live by faith.’” (Romans 1:17)

Part One

Those who have tragically considered God’s virgin born, Christmas Child to be a form of deception, will sadly bow down before Him after their death when facing God’s judgment! In the Lord Jesus’ presence, they will experience the full power of His radiant holiness and eternal glory!

The sheer folly of ignoring history’s attested revelation of God’s character, power, and grace, accompanied by the testimonies of countless millions with changed lives – leaves billions with no excuse for their failure to place their faith in God’s Son. The Scriptures explain, “God exalted Him (Jesus Christ) to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11)

It makes no sense to talk and sing about Christ at Christmas but then be quiet about Him the rest of the year. To worship Him by faith at Christmas is God’s timeless invitation!

Part Two

To make Biblical truth more understandable for those around you, simply ask – who they would most likely choose to believe. Would it be a Mormon cult leader with over 20 wives like Joseph Smith, a world religious leader like Mohammed, who ruled with a sword and said he sinned up to 70 times a day, or a sinless Savior who cast out demons, healed the sick, walked on water, and raised Himself from the dead? Consider what He declared, “I have power to lay My life down, and I have power to take it up again…” (John 10:18)

If you choose to trust anyone other than the Lord Jesus, you are left to wrestle with the fact that no one living today ever saw or talked with – Buddha, Mohammed, or any of the world’s many cult leaders. They all based their theology on works and legalism and ironically, it now requires faith to believe that they ever lived. However, history is clear that they all experienced normal sinful lives. Furthermore, none of them had a virgin birth or claimed to be our Savior. Christmas is therefore only about one person. There has simply never been anyone else like Him!

Part Three

Only Jesus Christ made divine claims and openly proved them to be true! This is why He explained, “…no one comes to the Father except through Me…” (John 14:6) The people you talk with this Christmas can either – accept Him as their Savior by faith or reject Him in spite of the overwhelming evidence of the claims validated by the thousands whom He miraculously fed, healed, and taught.

This Christmas, you will not be worshipping a liar, lunatic, or a deceiver. Instead, with supernatural power and having performed the world’s most profound miracles, you will be celebrating a living Savior -who brought the world God’s message of grace!

“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom He is pleased!”’ (Luke 2:13-14)
