Thanks for standing with us through your prayers and much appreciated teamship. Your most recent intercession and support made last month’s ministry to Chinese Christian leaders from the mainland and other countries possible. Long range planning was carried out with China’s leaders in the house church movement and for the nation’s theological education.
For Asia, our board and staff were greatly pleased to learn that over 1,000 locations have already been established across Vietnam alone – for their communities to hear the New Testament in Vietnamese. Faith Comes by Hearing’s national leader, and his wife, left Mountain Doxology with a deep commitment to seeing that Becoming A Disciple-Maker is rapidly translated into Vietnamese. This will enable Christian church members in each geographic area to be equipped to personally disciple the many who are coming to faith in Christ.
We learned the amazing news that thanks to new technology, the over 7,000 known languages used by people groups throughout the world should soon be privileged to hear the gospel in their native tongue. This is expected by the year 2033. This advance is being made possible by today’s new speed of translation. We have been assured that a large percentage of those listening to the New Testament are sufficiently literate to also benefit from IEA’s written and digital discipleship training. As always, our objective is to help move the Christian church from addition to spiritual multiplication in order to fulfill the Great Commission!
It is noteworthy that in Matthew 24:14 Jesus said that He would return after the gospel of the kingdom had been proclaimed to every nation. Therefore, it appears that we are now approaching that long anticipated era in history! Billy Graham always pointed to this verse as our clearest understanding of when the Lord can be expected to return.
